My Hobby
I like drawing. It does bring me happiness.
As a kid, I was keen on those lines and curves drawn on paper made into animals and scenes. It really could show beauty to people and express my feelings. And then I took a course so that I could get close to it and see it well. But at that time, I just did it for fun.
Years went by, I got into a long period of time filled with pressure in study. And I found it so good a way to relax. It did not any longer play an unimportant role in my living, but bacame my friend.
Since that time, I have felt it like a nice person deep in my heart who can talk with me with true words and make me happy with life. This is my hobby, not just a hobby, but also a true friend.
My favorite story

I love reading and I have read many books. My favorite story is Cinderella.
The characters(人物) in the story are Cinderella(灰姑娘), her stepmother, two stepsisters, a fairy godmother and a prince. The story is about a beautiful girl, who with the help of the fairy godmother, was able to go to the ball(舞会). There, she fell in love with the prince, got married and lived happily ever after. This is my favorite story because it is interesting and it teaches us to be kind and not to be wicked like the stepmother and the two stepsisters. There are many fascinating(吸引人的) and colorful pictures too in the book.
I admire(钦佩) Cinderella very much for she is a kind and beautiful girl who had never done anything bad to anyone.

Since I began collecting coins two years ago, I have met many others who share the same burning interest. It started when my father, who is an airline pilot, brought home his unused coins from his trips around the world. I thought some of them looked exotic. They looked very different from our Singapore coins . I had a liking for the various coins immediately and began collecting them. Now, whenever my father goes on his trips, I beg him to bring home as many different coins as he can. Today, I have over two hundred coins from twenty-four different countries.
My interest in skate boarding, however, grew differently. I started three years ago, when I was in primary four, when a classmate of mine introduced skate boarding to me. At first, I found it difficult to balance on a plank of wood on wheel. I also thought it was silly skate boarding when roller blading was so much easier and faster. But after two weeks of skate boarding every afternoon, I began to love the wind blowing in my hair and the thrill I got going places with it. Today, my favourite skate boarding area is the park by the beach where it's safe and I do not bump into people while skating.
My two hobbies are important to me because they help me relax from studying too much. I make sure that I do my homework before I even think about my coin collection or skate boarding.
My hobby is playing football. It is very interesting. Many people like to play it. It can make me healthy and strong. I often play it after class in my school. I often play it with my classmates. I can play it everywhere. But I think it is dangerous to play in streets. Because there are many cars and buses in streets.
