析： 这是新概念英语第二册第33课后中国人根据原句Then she swam to the shore after spending the whole night in the water. 编的选择题。其实并不是什么好题目，是主编让他的一些学生编的，有些题目是有问题的。
这里的having done sth.=after sb. (had) done sth.
现在分词的完成式having done sth.表示这个动作先于主句的动作完成。
这样改写其实并不好。如改为：
Having spent the whole night in the water, 。。。要更好些。
首先，一个标准的英语句子里面除了从句，只能有一个动词，这个句子里的动词就是"swam"，所以D首先要排除。这个句子由两部分组成，she swam to the shore . she had spent（过去完成时，这个动作发生在Swam 之前） the night in the water。用现在分词做时间状语，在此处表示动作由主语"she"发出，并且是时间状语，她在水里待了一晚上才游到岸边。
