We are supposed to express our gratitude to others on Thanksgiving Day. However, we should feel gratitude every day.
God has two dwellings, one in heaven, and the other in a meek and thankful heart. Be grateful to others is a way to show your love. In our daily life, we often receive help from our parents, friends, colleagues and strangers. Perhaps it is a little thing, pick up the pen you drop, lift a heavy box for you or offer you a seat in the bus. We should be thankful to them for whatever they have done. The more love you give, the more love you receive.
A sense of gratitude can acknowledging our interdependent existence. You will be ready to help others if you have a thankful heart. Therefore, a thankful heart is like a magnet. Not only will we attract more things to be grateful for, but also we will attract gratitude from others. “give thanks a little and you will find a lot.”
Gratitude is heaven itself. A sense of gratitude and indebtedness to others is and important wellspring of a generous and virtuous life. We now fall into a busy life, neglecting to be grateful for details, the beauty of nature, the comforts of modern living ,the love of parents and so on. People can notice these details and realize the friendship, love and happiness in our life with a grateful heart.

每次我放学回家，都会看见几个小孩坐在马路旁边乞讨。我不知道他们的父母是谁。他们多么狠心呀!他们差不多跟我一样大，也是上学的年龄了，但是他们不能。似乎没有人关心他们。我多么希望他们的父母能带他们回家啊。如果他们的父母真是穷得不能送他们去学校，那么我希望整个社会能够伸出援助之手。他们可以求助于希望工程呀。

Every time I come home from school, I see several children sitting beside the road and begging. I don‘t know where their parents are. How coldhearted they are! Every time I will think so. Those children are just of the same age with me. It‘s the age for school. But they can‘t. It seems that no one cares for them. How I hope that their parents come and bring them home. If their parents are really too poor to send them to school, then I hope the whole society will help. They can go to the Hope Project.

As the song goes “ My hope isn’t a dream .” I love the song which brings me confidence when singing it every time . I believe that all our dreams can come true if we have courage to pursue them .When I was young my father always asked me what I would be in the future . Sometimes I found it very hard to give a certain reply . “ I want to be a doctor .” “ I want to be a teacher .” and “ I ’d like to be a scientist !” Many of these answers are perhaps very childish and ridiculous . But I never think they are far away . How time flies! Who is able to give a definition to his future ? I know clearly that those high buildings are based on solid foundation . As a student , I should have a reasonable aim , and study hard . My goal is to enter the best university for further study after middle school . I know it’s hard work , and I ’ll come across many difficulties and frustrations . But no matter what they are , I’ll keep working on it and never give up . My teacher says there ’s only one kind of people that are truly successful : those who are brave enough to put up with hardships . Even if I won’t achieve the goal , I have no regrets for what I have done , for I have struggled for my life .
