怒发冲冠，凭栏处、潇潇雨歇。
Bristling with anger, I’m leaning on the railings, and it has stopped raining.
抬望眼，仰天长啸，壮怀激烈。
Looking into the distance and howling up to the sky, I’m full of ambition.
三十功名尘与土，
As a general of thirty my achievement is as small as dust.
八千里路云和月。
On the long way of fighting I've experienced a lot of ups and downs.
莫等闲，白了少年头，空悲切！
I mustn’t fritter away my youth; remorse will be in vain when my hair grows grey.
靖康耻，犹未雪。
The humiliation of the Jingkang incident has not been washed away.
臣子恨，何时灭？
As a minister, when can I extinguish my resentment?
驾长车，踏破贺兰山缺。
I'm going to fiercely attack Helan Mountains in my chariot.
壮志饥餐胡虏肉，
With ambition to win the war I’ll eat the flesh of the enemy when hungry.
笑谈渴饮匈奴血。
Talking and laughing, I’ll drink the invaders’ blood when thirsty.
待从头、收拾旧山河，朝天阙。
Determined to start all over again and regain the old land, I can pay homage to the former capital of the empire.
【注释】
1）怒发冲冠：气得头发竖起，以至于将帽子顶起。
2）长啸：大声呼叫。
3）八千里路云和月：形容征战的路途遥远，奋斗的历程艰苦卓绝。
4）等闲：轻易，随便。
5）靖康耻：宋钦宗靖康二年（1127年），金兵攻陷汴京，虏走徽、钦二帝。
6）贺兰山：贺兰山脉位于宁夏与内蒙古交界处。
7）朝天阙：朝见皇帝。天阙：本指宫殿前的楼观，此指皇帝生活的地方。
【白话译文】
因为愤怒我的头发竖起来顶起了帽子。
凭栏远眺，风雨刚刚停歇。
抬头远望，禁不住仰天长啸，报国之心充满心怀。
年逾三十建立的功名如尘土般微小。
南征北战八千里，经历了多少风雨和磨难。
不能随随便虚度年华，到老时悔恨已是枉然。
至今未能洗雪靖康之变的耻辱。
作为臣子，我的愤恨何时才能泯灭？
我要驾着战车攻破贺兰山。
壮志满怀，征战中饿了就吃敌人的肉，谈笑时，渴了就喝敌人的血。
我决心从头再来，收复旧日河山，朝拜故帝都京阙。
